  • Account Reconciliation: Ensuring all accounts are reconciled by the 5th business day of each month to meet UK reporting requirements.

  • Certified Payroll: The company has many US Department of Transportation contracts and therefore needs certification on all payrolls.

  • Inventory Tracking: Assist in tracking inventory of construction materials in 15 states

  • International Financial Statements: Work with UK parent company to integrate US financial statements into the larger picture of the UK parent company.

Under the leadership of their US leader who reports to the UK entity, our client has expanded its footprint across 15 states. This expansion necessitated specific state reports and involved contracts in 15 states, including significant operations in Alaska and South Dakota. Additionally, WBL helped build a budget for US operations and continuously monitored bank account balances to ensure financial stability. In the last year, they have expanded from 1 large crew to 3 large crews that work on various projects around the country.

Challenges and Communication

One of the biggest challenges faced was setting up and obtaining background for tax accounts. Despite these hurdles, regular communication has been key to their success, with twice-weekly calls and daily emails ensuring smooth operations and prompt issue resolution.
