Marissa joined WBL’s Tax Planning and Compliance Services department as a supervisor in early 2017. She specializes in strategic tax planning and preparation services for professional services companies and private individuals. As a supervisor, she coordinates tax research, preparation of returns, and trains associates.
Marissa has been interested in accounting since she started working for her grandfather, a CPA and businessman, when she was 14 years old. Prior to joining WBL, Marissa was a tax manager at Moore Colson & Company where she worked extensively with health care and real estate clients.
Marissa is a volunteer pre-K Sunday school teacher at Piedmont Church. She is a native of Marietta, Georgia, where she lives with her husband David and their daughters, Maggie, Meredith and Vivian, and their cockapoo Deacon.
