Internships

Interns who succeed here can achieve success anywhere – but many internships parlay into full-time positions at WBL. And from there, your opportunities are as unlimited as your own ambitions.
We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 internships.


Audit Intern
Do meaningful audit work under the supervision of an experienced professional auditor:
- Perform audit and other procedures for a variety of clients in diverse industries to support our accountants’ report on client financial statements
- Test internal control structures and determine the reasonableness of recorded assets, liabilities, and results of operations
- Gather information for reports, tax returns, and management letters
- Assist with special client assignments as requested
- Develop a solid foundation for using paperless audit software, depreciation software, and other applicable software packages
We want to see your application if you are:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting AND if you’re an undergrad, you are entering your senior year and have taken upper-level accounting courses
- An achiever with an A or B average, particularly in accounting courses
- Deeply familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Ready to jumpstart your career in public accounting
Tax Intern
Do meaningful tax work under the supervision of an experienced professional tax accountant:
- Prepare all types of tax returns for a variety of clients in diverse industries
- Recognize tax problems and develop the ability to prepare written memoranda based on findings
- Prepare schedules, summaries & draft reports
- Develop your skills using tax return preparation software
We want to see your application if you are:
- Pursuing a Master of Taxation degree (or a MAcc with a tax concentration)
- An achiever with an A or B average, particularly in accounting courses
- Deeply familiar with Microsoft Excel
- Ready to jumpstart your career in public accounting
