Accounting Manager/Firm Administrator
WBL CPAs + Advisors is seeking an Accounting Manager/Firm Administrator to administer all internal accounting functions and to oversee office operations. This is a mid-senior level role with a competitive salary offering the opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule.
As our Accounting Manager/Firm Administrator, you will be an integral part of a fun, close-knit team and will perform the following job duties:
Accounting Duties:
- Oversee preparation of client invoices semi-monthly utilizing Firm's time and billing system.
- Oversee office administrative assistant in monitoring accounts receivable and enforcement of firm's collection policy. Becomes involved, as needed, in meetings with billing managers and communications with clients.
- Oversee processing of accounts payable disbursements and monitor expenditures.
- Oversee monitoring of employee time and expense reporting, including PTO tracking.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (accrual basis) and related statistical information.
- Prepare monthly reporting package for Partners.
- Prepare and report payroll to third party vendor.
- Prepare reports for annual Partner meeting.
- Direct supervision of one office administrative assistant
Firm Administrative Duties:
- Indirect supervision of administrative team to ensure that duties are properly allocated to the appropriate individual for a balanced workload to minimize overtime.
- Maintain vendor relationships and supervise ordering of supplies.
- Coordinate purchases of office equipment with IT manager.
- Supervise maintenance of the office to ensure a professional appearance.
- Review Firm's insurance coverage annually to evaluate coverage (excludes health).
- Administer Firm's 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan
Must Haves:
- Prior relevant experience in a professional services firm.
- Experience with accrual basis accounting, required
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and time and billing software.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel.
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills.
