WBL CPAs + Advisors Welcomes Susan Thompson, CPA, CMA as Director and CAAS Practice Leader
Atlanta, GA — WBL CPAs + Advisors is pleased to announce that Susan Thompson, CPA, CMA, has joined the firm as Director and Practice Leader of its Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice.
Susan brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership, with deep expertise in financial operations, advisory services, and large-scale process transformation across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining WBL, Susan served as a Director in Client Accounting and Advisory Services at CliftonLarsonAllen, where she worked closely with executive leaders to address complex accounting, finance, and systems challenges. In this role, she delivered integrated solutions for organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.
Throughout her career, Susan has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive measurable business results. She has built and optimized accounting functions for high-growth and acquisition-driven organizations, led enterprise-wide ERP implementations including NetSuite and Workday, and successfully scaled high-performing teams serving diverse client portfolios. In previous leadership roles, including Vice President of Client Accounting, Accounting Director, and Vice President of Finance, Susan oversaw financial reporting, treasury operations, audit coordination, and strategic planning initiatives for complex organizations.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno, and recently earned her MBA in Accounting. She is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
