We hope you, your families and your colleagues are well and successfully navigating the current challenges. Due to our continued concern for the health and safety of our associates and their families, as well as our desire to follow the guidance of public health experts as responsible corporate citizens, we have recommended that all WBL associates work from home starting March 18th, and at least through the end of the month. In addition, to protect the health of our clients’ staff, WBL associates who would normally work in a client’s office will no longer report to client locations during this time. In limited situations, such as when an engagement requires access to documents, an associate may arrange a short-term visit if acceptable to the client.
We have the technological, cultural and operational infrastructure to work virtually. We will be using MS Teams and Zoom Meetings for internal meetings, screen sharing when assistance is needed, and client meetings including conferences.
While WBL will continue to serve clients, our office doors will be locked. A minimal number of staff will work from the office for some period each business day to ensure certain processes that must be completed in person are maintained. If you need to deliver something to our office, please contact the appropriate associate or partner in advance.
Calls to the general office telephone number will be answered by our automated system which will allow you to connect to a directory of individual extensions and voicemails. Most associates will have their calls forwarded directly to their cell phones to ensure they can be contacted by clients. Additionally, you can continue to communicate by email.
We will follow up shortly with another communication regarding revised tax deadlines and other information once the IRS has provided more definitive information.
We continue to be here to consult with you and your team on any of the financial challenges you are currently facing as a result of the current situation. The COVID-19 virus may be disrupting our typical daily routines, but it will not disrupt the quality of the personal service our clients have come to expect and appreciate from WBL.
