Horn, CPA, a tax partner and leader of the firm’s International and Family Office practices, has been elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Russell Bedford International (RBI). RBI is one of the world’s largest global networks of independent accounting, tax and business consulting firms with more than 700 partners, 6000 staff and 300 offices in 100 countries in Europe, the Americas, Middle East, Africa, Indian Sub-Continent and Asia-Pacific. It is one of the prestigious members of IFAC’s Forum of Firms, recognized as a leader in transnational audits.
The RBI Board of Directors consists of 10 members currently comprised of representatives from Germany, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. The Directors oversee the governance and professional staff of the organization and ensure the organization’s high standards for quality are met throughout the network. Steve Horn will represent the North American region, helping to grow RBI’s membership, promote collaboration and serve the needs of network affiliates all over the world.
Steve Horn joined WBL in 1992. He provides tax planning and compliance services to corporations, individuals, partnerships, estates and trusts. He is the author of the firm’s periodic tax planning updates and blog posts, and previously served on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Harcourt Brace Publication, CPA Internet Connection. Steve is also a frequent lecturer and guest speaker at universities, international conferences and professional associations.
In addition to serving on the RBI Board of Directors, Steve is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, director for the North American Tax Council, executive committee member and treasurer of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce, graduate and member of the Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute, a founder and past president of the North Fulton Jewish Center, a past board member of the Epstein School, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee.
